Who is Pan Winyl

I started in 2007 as a collector and owner of the online store Winylowo, and then a brick-and-mortar shop Cloud7 - first in Poland, then in the United Kingdom. Over 150,000 vinyl records have passed through my hands: retail and wholesale, rare finds from around the world and new pressings straight from the plant.

I wrote "The Book About Vinyl" - the first Polish guide to the world of black records. I run the blog PanWinyl.pl, where I have been writing about music, the culture of listening and the phenomenon of vinyl for years.

Polvinyl - from shop to pressing plant

Today I don't just sell records - I create them. As CEO of Polvinyl Sp. z o.o., I run an official partner of RAND Muzik - one of the most respected pressing plants in Europe. Polvinyl Records is the publishing arm of the company, home to releases such as Dagadana's albums on audiophile 180g vinyl cut at Pauler Acoustics, and the Goldenblack Baileo Jazz series - a Polish-Dutch project bringing outstanding jazz recordings to vinyl for the first time.

I combine tradition with technology: records I produce can include NFC chips with blockchain-registered production data - because vinyl is also a medium of the future.

I am inspired by the history of Polish phonography - and Juliusz Feigenbaum, who founded the first Polish record pressing plant in 1908. Vinyl fascinates me just as much as it did the first time I held one: as a sound carrier, as a cultural object, as the perfect body for the soul of music.
