Goldenblack Baileo Jazz: Where Business Meets Jazz Tradition on Vinyl

Have you ever wondered what happens when the business world, modern networking, and an immense passion for jazz collide? The answer is Goldenblack Baileo Jazz – a unique Polish-Dutch publishing project. The mastermind behind this extraordinary initiative is Dominik Tomczyk, a business angel and co-founder of Polvinyl Records, who connected with Dutch percussionist Jeroen de Rijk via LinkedIn. Jeroen is the co-founder of the Amsterdam-based company Baileo Music Productions, which has been operating since the summer of 1998. The result of this encounter is a very special mission: to release world-class jazz albums, previously available exclusively on CD, on the noble vinyl format for the very first time.
Madeline Bell – "Soulmates" The first step in this musical journey is the album "Soulmates". Madeline Bell is an outstanding American soul singer with a magnificent career spanning over 65 years. She began her musical journey singing in gospel choirs in New Jersey and gained massive international success with the British pop group Blue Mink. This album is one of four records she made for the Baileo label, perfectly capturing her powerful, highly expressive voice and vast musical experience.

Louis van Dijk – "Moonlight In Vermont" Another gem in the series is "Moonlight In Vermont" by the Dutch piano virtuoso Louis van Dijk. Originally released in 2001, this material stands out due to its unusual recording process. The musicians entered a soundproofed church in Holland during the day and recorded every single composition in a pure "first take". This approach flawlessly captured the spontaneity and spirit of true jazz improvisation that van Dijk was so well known for.

4 Of A Kind – "Cattin'" Completing this magnificent trio is the 4 Of A Kind project with their album "Cattin'", featuring the exceptional Italian pianist Dado Moroni. The history of this lineup dates back to 1994 when Moroni and Jeroen de Rijk met in New York. The "Cattin'" album was recorded in 2000, also in a church transformed into a studio. The four men, playing live and capturing everything in one take, created a masterpiece full of innovation and sheer virtuosity.
