From Academic Jam Sessions to Grand Prix

J.Tronix is a Polish electro-jazz trio that formed at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. The three members - Klaudia Wachtarczyk, Aleksander Gonsior, and Szymon Szczot - came together through a shared passion for jazz improvisation and a curiosity about how that improvisational spirit could be translated into the language of contemporary electronic music.

What started as informal jam sessions gradually evolved into original compositions, then into studio recordings, and ultimately into a fully-formed debut album. The trio's sound balances jazz freedom with electronic aesthetics and modern rhythmic energy - not as a gimmick, but as a natural extension of their musical identities.

The Members

Klaudia Wachtarczyk plays bass and synth bass, grounding the trio's sound while pushing into electronic territory.

Aleksander Gonsior handles drums and the Roland SPDSx, blending acoustic percussion with electronic sampling in real time.

Szymon Szczot covers piano, keyboards, and production - acting as both performer and the architectural mind behind the album's sonic design.

Awards & Recognition

J.Tronix's early singles - "In a Nervous Mood", "iMazur", and "Glide" - opened doors to some of Poland's most prestigious jazz competitions. The trio became finalists at Indywidualność Jazzowa (Jazz nad Odrą 2023), finalists at Współbrzmienia 2023, and then won the Grand Prix at Poznań Blue Note Competition 2024, also receiving a special award: a concert slot at the Jazzaround 2025 festival.

Jazztronika - The Debut Vinyl

Released in November 2025, "Jazztronika" is the band's debut full-length album. Seven original compositions spanning over 47 minutes, ranging from groove-driven electronic jazz to introspective atmospheric pieces. The album features a guest appearance from saxophonist Robert Wypasek on "In a Nervous Mood".

The vinyl edition is a limited release, available for pre-order now. The album is also available on CD and all streaming platforms, but for the full listening experience — the warmth, the depth, the dynamics,vinyl is the definitive format for music like this.
