the soundtrack to david fincher's "seven" is not just background music. it is a sonic record of madness and urban decay. howard shore created a suffocating, industrial atmosphere here that perfectly matches the director's vision. for years, fans have waited for a vinyl release that would capture this vibe. finally, it's here.
waxwork records delivers a complete package. this is the vinyl debut of this score. we have two 180-gram records in "lust & sloth" color variants: one is translucent blue swirl, the other is frosted mint green swirl.
the artwork is a masterpiece. steve reeves based the design on original film props – john doe's notebooks. the heavy gatefold with a matte satin coating and the included 11"x11" art print are impressive. on the technical side: mastering was handled by simon gibson, and the lacquer was cut by b. giel at welcome to 1979 studios. a mandatory item for 90s cinema fans.
