"jeszcze młodsza generacja" (an even younger generation) is not just a compilation. it is a manifesto. released in 1986 by tonpress, this album defined the sound of the polish underground in the 80s. this is where the band kult sings their generational anthem "piosenka młodych wioślarzy", and t.love alternative serves up the raw "zabijanka".

this record offers a cross-section of what was freshest and most predatory in polish music at the time: cold wave (made in poland), avant-garde (sstill, rendezvous), and rock grit (fort b.s.). the release is also interesting editorially – instead of the standard sides a and b, the labels read "strona ta" (this side) and "strona tamta" (that side).

the cover was designed by alek januszewski, creating artwork that perfectly captures the gray yet creative atmosphere of those years behind the iron curtain. a mandatory item for any fan of eastern european rock history.
