this is a reissue on solid 180g vinyl, so that bass line in "you can call me al" or the harmonies of ladysmith black mambazo in "diamonds on the soles of her shoes" sound as deep as they should. this is the album you put on when you're having a bad day, and suddenly the world looks a little brighter. the mix of folk, rock, and african rhythms (mbaqanga!) is simply inimitable.
